Samsung unveiled a new mid-range tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, a mid-range tablet that will go on sale in early September. The company is targeting users who need a versatile tool for studying and working without overpaying for higher-end models.

The new device features a 10.9-inch display with a resolution of 2112×1320 pixels and brightness up to 600 nits. The screen uses a TFT panel, which is inferior to OLED in contrast, but Vision Booster technology improves outdoor readability. The refresh rate is 90 Hz, and blue light reduction certification lowers eye strain during long use.

The hardware is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor. Versions with 6 and 8 GB of RAM are available, and storage options of 128 or 256 GB can be expanded with a microSD card up to 2 TB. The main camera is 8 MP and the front camera is 5 MP, which is sufficient for video calls and basic photography.

The 8000 mAh battery supports 25 W charging. The body is 6.6 mm thick and weighs 524 g. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and an optional 5G module. An important new feature is that the S Pen now comes included. It supports note-taking, PDF annotation, handwriting-to-text conversion, and solving math problems. Google's Circle to Search feature also works, allowing you to search for information from a selected portion of the screen.

Compared with last year's Galaxy Tab S9 FE, the changes are incremental. The diagonal and battery capacity remain the same: 8000 mAh in the lower-end version and 10090 mAh in the higher-end one. The devices' weight is also similar. The main difference lies in software policy: the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite ships with Android 15 and One UI 7 and will receive updates for seven years. For the mid-range segment this is a rare advantage, given that most competitors are limited to three or four years of support.

In July Samsung unveiled a series of foldable smartphones. The flagship Galaxy Z Fold 7 became one of the thinnest and lightest smartphones in its class.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is positioned as a productivity tablet for studying and everyday tasks. Its strengths are a large battery, included stylus, and long software support. Its weaknesses are the TFT display and basic cameras. It will compete with the entry-level iPad and Chinese models with AMOLED, but Samsung's emphasis on ecosystem and a long device lifecycle could make the Tab S10 Lite one of the company's best-selling models in the coming years.
