Yandex has released new models of AI TVs with MiniLED and QLED.

Yandex unveiled two new TV models under the TV Station brand running on the updated YaOS X platform. These devices not only continue the traditions of smart TVs with the voice assistant Alice, but also offer notable technological improvements, covering both the premium and budget segments of the market.

The flagship model, TV Station Pro, is the first in the lineup to feature a MiniLED panel, providing higher brightness and contrast compared with traditional LED panels. Thanks to an increased number of LEDs and local dimming zones, peak brightness reaches 1300 nits, making images detailed even in bright lighting conditions. Dolby Vision, HDR10 technologies and a 144 Hz refresh rate ensure smooth visuals, especially important for dynamic scenes in movies and video games.       The audio system of the TV Station Pro also meets high standards. Two speakers with a combined power of 30 W and a 20 W subwoofer create a surround sound effect, complemented by Dolby Audio support and manual tuning by Yandex engineers.

Particular attention deserves the TV’s integration into the smart home ecosystem. For the first time in Yandex TV devices, support for Zigbee has appeared, as well as the Matter and Wi-Fi protocols, allowing compatible gadgets to be controlled directly from the screen. Users can display streams from surveillance cameras or data from sensors on the screen, turning the TV into a central hub for managing home devices.

For those looking for a more affordable option, the company offers the TV Station Basic with a QLED panel. Despite a lower refresh rate (60 Hz) and modest brightness (350–450 nits), this model retains the key advantages of the YaOS X platform, including voice control and access to Yandex’s services. QLED technology provides rich colors and good contrast, and the built-in speakers with Dolby Audio support are adapted for different screen sizes.

Updated AI assistant and YaOS X platform functionality

The new TV Stations received a number of software improvements that expand interaction capabilities with content and devices. The voice assistant Alice can now control third-party apps such as IVI, VK Video or Rutube using function-call technology. This means a user can launch series or search for specific content by voice even in services not owned by Yandex.

A useful feature has been added for gamers: Alice can analyze what is happening on the screen in real time and provide tips for completing levels in games. This function works thanks to a multimodal neural network that recognizes visual context and responds to voice queries.

Another innovation is the “Night Session” mode, which automatically reduces strain on the eyes and ears. The TV adjusts brightness and color temperature according to ambient light, and softens harsh sounds while preserving dialogue intelligibility. Image: Yandex Press Service

The content recommendation system has also become more flexible. Alice has learned to better understand vague queries like “films about 17th-century France” or “movies about strong-willed people,” offering relevant selections even without exact titles.

With the release of the TV Station Pro and Basic, Yandex strengthens its position in the smart TV market by offering technologies previously found only in premium devices. MiniLED, expanded smart-home integration and an improved AI assistant make the new models appealing both to cinephiles and to those who value ease of control. At the same time, maintaining an affordable segment with QLED screens makes the devices accessible without sacrificing the key advantages of the YaOS X platform.
