Vibe coding platform Lovable has achieved the status of the fastest-growing software startup in history.

Swedish AI startup Lovable has announced that it has exceeded $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) just eight months post-launch, making it the fastest-growing software startup in history, surpassing previously rapid growth rates of companies like Cursor and Wiz.

The startup’s success is attributed to its popular generative AI platform, which enables non-technical users to create applications or websites using simple text prompts.

This platform was developed by Anton Osika, who co-founded Lovable in 2023. In an interview with TNW in April, he remarked, “I realized that we needed to develop tools for the 99% who do not create software.”

Osika believes that by empowering non-technical founders to establish successful businesses without prior coding skills or software experience, the company is "unlocking a new economy."

Currently, Lovable boasts more than 2.3 million active users and has seen over 10 million projects created on its platform, with the company reporting that over 100,000 new projects are initiated daily.

Last week, Lovable announced a $200 million Series A funding round led by Accel, with additional participation from 20VC, byFounders, Creandum, Hummingbird, and Visionaries Club. This funding round values the startup at $1.8 billion and stands among the largest Series A rounds ever raised by a European firm.

Lovable also disclosed that it is now “fully agentic,” allowing the platform to “think through problems, formulate plans, and take proactive actions akin to a real developer.” This upgrade enables Lovable to search the internet for content, debug code, and modify applications contextually, all independently of human input.

Furthermore, the company has introduced a Business Plan offering “enterprise-grade security, privacy, and control,” which features reusable templates, self-serve SSO, private projects, and data opt-out options. Initial customers include Klarna, Hubspot, and Photoroom.

“Even with our rapid expansion, we are only beginning to grasp what this means for individuals and businesses worldwide,” Osika stated. “AI is enabling people to build easily, launch new companies at an unprecedented pace, and positively impact the world.”
