Lenovo reveals comprehensive AI strategy aimed at enhancing enterprise productivity|MWC Shanghai 2025

At the start of MWC Shanghai 2025 on Wednesday, Liu Jun, president of Lenovo China, presented a keynote titled "Full-Stack AI Empowering Enterprise Productivity," in which he discussed the company’s strategic outlook and practical endeavors in the age of AI.

"We find ourselves in the era of the fourth industrial revolution driven by AI, where the capabilities of intelligent agents are doubling every few months," Liu stated. He emphasized that artificial intelligence has evolved from being just a tool to rapidly becoming a central productivity driver for both businesses and society.

Lenovo's focus on AI began in 2017 with the launch of the "Smart China" initiative, marking significant investments in AI capabilities, Liu pointed out. The company now provides a comprehensive AI portfolio that includes AI devices, AI infrastructure, and AI solutions and services. Central to this strategy is Lenovo’s intelligent platform, Qingtian, which integrates AI technologies with practical enterprise applications, Liu explained.

He elaborated on the progress of Qingtian from version 1.0 to 4.0, detailing its transformation from a cloud-native, middle-platform architecture to embedded AI (2.0), the incorporation of generative AI (3.0), and now to intelligent agents utilizing multimodal, strong-reasoning models (4.0). In Qingtian 3.0, Lenovo created intelligent agents for marketing, sales, and customer service. Liu noted that these advancements have cut smart product configuration times from 12 minutes to just two and reduced content production costs in AI-driven marketing workflows by 25%.

In May, Lenovo introduced Lexiang, an enterprise-level super intelligent agent platform that serves as a unified portal for employees, clients, partners, and the general public. Since its launch, Lexiang has reportedly increased customer weekly engagement by 270% and improved order conversion rates by 30%, according to data presented by Liu. For fiscal year 2025, Lenovo China aims to integrate AI into one-fourth of its frontline execution processes to unlock new innovation potential, as announced by Liu.

On the device front, Lenovo has released AI PCs, AI smartphones, AI tablets, and AIoT devices focused on the Tianxi personal super intelligent agent. Liu claimed that AI PCs powered by Tianxi exceeded one million units in sales last year. Additionally, Lenovo currently ranks among the top three server vendors in China and stands out as one of the few AI infrastructure providers utilizing both international and domestic technology platforms.

Lenovo enhances its AI solutions and services through its "One Engine, Three Arrows" strategy, as stated in Liu’s presentation. The "engine" refers to the Qingtian smart platform, while the three "arrows" focus on state-owned enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and consumer sectors with customized AI solutions.

For state-owned enterprises, Lenovo offers five primary solutions: intelligent agent matrix, xCloud smart cloud platform, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) tools, precision computing, and full-lifecycle AI services. For SMBs, Lenovo provides services like smart office solutions, AI-enhanced marketing, and IT operations and maintenance.

In conclusion, Liu stated that China's AI industry is transitioning from rapid development to full-scale implementation. "With AI permeating all sectors of society, Lenovo is dedicated to making AI accessible to every business and individual. The company invites all partners to collaborate with Lenovo in forging a better, smarter future for China," added the president of Lenovo China.
