NYT Strands for today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Monday, May 26.
Strands is a newly launched daily puzzle from the New York Times. It offers a challenging twist on the traditional word search, requiring sharp observational skills to solve.
Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can occasionally present difficulties. There's no harm in seeking assistance every now and then. If you find yourself stuck and need the solutions for today’s Strands puzzle, refer to the resolved puzzle provided below.
**How to Play Strands**
The objective in every Strands puzzle is to identify the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm your selection. When you correctly identify a word, it will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be available for selection.
If you discover a word that isn’t a theme word, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words you locate that are a minimum of four letters long, you’ll receive a hint, revealing the letters of one of the theme words that you will then need to unscramble.
Every letter in the grid contributes to spelling out the theme words, and there is no letter overlap. Each letter is utilized once and only once.
Each puzzle features one “spangram,” which is a unique theme word (or words) that represents the puzzle's theme and connects two opposite edges of the board. When you locate the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying too heavily on hints.
