NYT Strands for today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Sunday, May 25.
Strands is a fresh daily puzzle from the New York Times that offers a more challenging twist on the traditional word search. To successfully complete this puzzle, you'll need to have a sharp eye.
Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can present difficulties on certain days. There's no shame in seeking assistance occasionally. If you're struggling and want to find the answers to today's Strands puzzle, take a look at the solution provided below.
How to play Strands
Each Strands puzzle begins with the objective of locating the hidden “theme words” within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words, and double-tapping the last letter will confirm your selection. When you identify a correct word, it will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
If you come across a word that isn't a theme word, it still contributes to your progress! For every three non-theme words of at least four letters that you find, you'll receive a hint — one letter from a theme word will be disclosed, which you'll need to unscramble.
Every letter in the grid is utilized to form the theme words, and there is no letter overlap. Each letter will be used exactly once.
In each puzzle, there is one “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) that represents the puzzle’s theme and spans two opposite sides of the board. When you discover the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim should be to complete the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.

Connections tips and tricks
The rules of Connections are simple: you are presented with a grid of 16 words that you must categorize into four groups based on a common connection. For instance, four of the 16 words might all be types of fruit, which would make grouping them logical. However, Connections is much more complex than that, so don’t anticipate that all solutions will be straightforward. The different groups are indicated by varying colors that correspond to their difficulty, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and finally purple, the most challenging.

The wait for roller-skating excitement is nearly over. Ubisoft announced on Wednesday that Roller Champions will officially launch on May 25.
Roller Champions is a free-to-play, team-oriented PvP game where players compete in teams of three roller-skaters, trying to be the first to score five points by throwing a ball into a hoop vertically mounted on the walls of the elliptical rink. The game merges elements of roller derby with the ancient Mesoamerican game ulama, minus hitting the ball with hips, as portrayed in the DreamWorks film The Road to El Dorado. Ubisoft released a new cinematic trailer to showcase how this combination unfolds along with the new release date.
