
5 must-see TV shows to check out in June 2025
Summer is almost here, officially arriving by the end of the month. As the days grow longer, you may find yourself spending more time outdoors, staying active, and soaking up the sun. This also means you'll want to unwind and relax after those long days, and there’s no better way to do that than by checking out a captivating new show.
We've compiled a list of five must-see TV shows for June 2025. With the exception of one, all are new series. The notable exception is the third and final season of one of Netflix's most-watched international shows.

**Stick (June 4)**
*Apple TV+*
Owen Wilson stars in this sports comedy that blends elements of *Ted Lasso* and *Happy Gilmore*. He plays Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer whose career ended years ago before he was ready to retire his clubs. As his life falls apart, Pryce rekindles his passion for golf and bets on a promising young player named Santi (Peter Dager), whom he believes he can help become a star.
The main cast includes Marc Maron and Judy Greer, with Timothy Olyphant making a guest appearance. Wilson also serves as an executive producer. *Stick* consists of 10 episodes, with the first three released simultaneously, followed by a weekly release. Whether this comedy becomes one of the top shows on Apple TV+ is yet to be seen, but the ensemble cast and the premise, although familiar, could prove to be a winning combination.

**Ironheart (June 24)**

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is extending its reach into television with *Ironheart*, the 14th series from Marvel Studios that connects to the broader narrative. Following the events of *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever*, Dominique Thorne reprises her role as Riri Williams. Now an MIT student, Riri returns home to confront challenges involving technology and magic. Fans will remember that in the 2022 film, Riri created her own Iron Man-like armor, showcasing her brilliance.
This limited series features just six episodes and will conclude Phase Five of the MCU. Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, and Alden Ehrenreich also star, along with several others with undisclosed roles, including Sacha Baron Cohen.

**Countdown (June 25)**
*Elizabeth Morris / Amazon Prime Video*
If you’ve been missing Jensen Ackles since the conclusion of *Supernatural* and are eagerly awaiting his return as Soldier Boy in *The Boys* universe, *Countdown* will quench your thirst. Ackles plays Mark Meachum, an LAPD detective who collaborates with a covert task force to solve the murder of a Homeland Security officer.
As Mark and his team dig deeper, they uncover a larger conspiracy threatening everyone in the city. If you enjoy shows like *The Night Agent*, *Countdown* might serve as Amazon Prime Video’s response to that popular Netflix series. Jessica Camacho (All Rise), Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy), and Violett Beane (Death and Other Details) are also part of the cast.

**Squid Game Season 3 (June 27)**

The highly anticipated *Squid Game* returns for its third and final season. While there was a lengthy wait between the first and second seasons, only six months have passed since season 2 premiered, ending with an intense cliffhanger. This South Korean dystopian survival thriller revolves around a disturbing game that pits desperate individuals against each other in deadly variations of classic children's games for a massive cash prize. It serves as a critique of capitalism and class inequality, delving deeper than just its violent elements.
Season 2 concluded with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) rallying players to resist. However, he is unaware that his new friend Hwang In-ho (Lee Byung-hun) is the Front Man, the orchestrator of the entire operation. This upcoming finale promises to be thrilling, bringing to a close a story that was initially designed to be just a single season long. The outstanding reception led to these two final seasons that are sure to deliver justice, heartbreak, or both.

Based on the podcast *Firebug*, *Smoke* features Taron Egerton as Dave Gudsen, a detective working with Detective Michelle Calderone (Jurnee Smollett), a skilled arson investigator,
