NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Saturday, May 17.
Strands is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times. It offers a more challenging twist on the traditional word search, requiring a sharp eye to complete. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, some days Strands can be quite tricky. There’s no harm in needing a little assistance now and then. If you're having trouble and want to find out the answers to today's Strands puzzle, check the solved puzzle below.
How to play Strands
When you begin each Strands puzzle, your objective is to discover the "theme words" concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the final letter to confirm. If you successfully identify the correct word, the letters will turn blue and become unselectable.
If you come across a word that isn't a theme word, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words you find that are at least four letters long, you will receive a hint — one of the theme words' letters will be revealed, and you will simply need to unscramble it.
Every letter in the grid is utilized to spell out the theme words without any repetitions. Each letter will be employed exactly once.
Each puzzle also includes one “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) that defines the puzzle’s theme and spans across two opposite sides of the board. When you locate the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Your aim should be to finish the puzzle swiftly while using as few hints as possible.

Once a PlayStation exclusive, Death Stranding is coming to Game Pass next week
505 Games has announced that Death Stranding will be available on PC Game Pass starting August 23. The publisher has confirmed that the version joining the subscription service is the original game from 2019, not its Director's Cut.
The game will feature ultrawide support, a photo mode, and high frame rates. 505 Games also notes that it will include crossover content, presumably referring to collaborations with Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077. Additionally, players will receive some unlockable items:
