HBO
Bella Ramsey might be recognized primarily for her role as Ellie in The Last of Us, but fans of Game of Thrones remember her breakout performance as Lyanna Mormont. Despite being just 11 years old, Ramsey brought a strong presence to the character, and Kit Harington recalls vividly the experience of being overshadowed by his younger co-star during a scene shared between Lyanna and his character, Jon Snow, in the show's later seasons.
In a recent issue of Interview Magazine, Ramsey and Harington reflected on their time working together on HBO's fantasy series. Looking back, Ramsey expressed some regret about mimicking Harington's lines during their introduction scene, which occurred when he seemed to forget his words.
“I remember not feeling like a child, but now I see 11-year-olds and realize how tiny they are, so it's strange to think I was that small and that young,” Ramsey shared. “I don’t know if you recall this, but I remember it quite clearly and I feel some remorse about it now—during our introduction scene, I was mouthing your lines to you. At that moment, it came from a pure place of thinking, ‘Kit's struggling with his lines and I know them, so I’ll help him out by mouthing it to him.’”
Harington, on the other hand, does not hold any resentment towards Ramsey for that moment. He distinctly remembers feeling the need to elevate his performance to match her talent.
“It wasn’t annoying at all,” Harington stated. “If anything, it made me think, ‘Oh god, I must raise my game. I came in not really comfortable with my lines, in the arrogance of my age, thinking I’m just acting opposite some child. Then that child actor is outshining me.’ It wasn’t a competition, but it made me realize I had become a bit too comfortable in my Jon Snow persona.”
With the success of The Last of Us, Ramsey now enjoys headlining a major hit on HBO, similar to Harington's experience over the past decade. The future looks promising for the young actress.

Industry season 3 teaser trailer: Kit Harington enters the chaotic world of high finance
When HBO viewers last saw Kit Harington, he was heading North of the Wall as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. After being dismissed by Pierpoint, Harper (Myha'la Herrold) is on the lookout for her next opportunity in finance, which leads her to FutureDawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg). With Pierpoint's new focus on ethical investing, Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) shift their attention to the IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company led by Sir Henry Muck (Harington).
Game of Thrones’ disappointing finale lost sight of what made the series so great
Ending a television show successfully is notoriously difficult. Many talented writers have attempted and failed over the years, leaving countless fans disappointed when their favorite shows did not conclude satisfactorily. While poor final episodes have been a part of television for decades, no series finale in recent memory has been as widely and fervently criticized as Game of Thrones'. After captivating millions of viewers for eight years, the HBO drama delivered a final trio of rushed, poorly crafted episodes in May 2019, resulting in an incredibly unsatisfactory and unearned conclusion. The show, which once held the top position in television, subsequently faded from global cultural conversations—demonstrating that sometimes the end is just as crucial as the journey. Many long-time fans seemed to distance themselves from Game of Thrones entirely, while others placed their hopes for a better conclusion on the two remaining books in A Song of Ice and Fire, which author George R. R. Martin has yet to publish.
5 years ago, Game of Thrones aired its last great episode. Here’s why it still holds up
Many fans would likely concur that Game of Thrones ended not with a bang, but a deep whimper. After dominating popular culture for nearly a decade, the acclaimed HBO series concluded with a set of episodes that were universally condemned by both fans and critics. The show's disappointing finale led to its popularity seemingly disappearing. In the five years since its airing, time has not treated Game of Thrones season 8 kindly. To this day, many people continue to discuss the series' final season with a mix of resentment and disbelief, and those fans won't find disagreement about the quality of Game of Thrones' last few episodes here.
