Three new ONYX BOOX readers
ONYX International has announced the launch of three new reading devices at once — ONYX BOOX Go 7, Go Color 7 (Gen II) and Tab X C. All new products have received updated processors, more memory and new features thanks to improved software.
Go Color 7 (Gen II) is a new version of the popular compact reader with a 7-inch color screen E Ink Kaleido 3. It received a powerful 8-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB for storing books and documents. The device supports microSD memory cards and works with a stylus to create notes and drawings. The case is made of durable plastic, there are convenient flip buttons and ONYX Glass protective glass.
Go 7 is a black and white version of the same model. It has the same 7-inch high-resolution E Ink Carta Plus screen, similar performance "stuffing" and stylus support. The case is light and thin, the screen is also covered with protective glass.
The third novelty, the Tab X C, is a large 13.3—inch color reader with an E Ink Kaleido 3 screen. It is designed not only for reading, but also for working with documents, notes and drawings. The model received a powerful processor with BOOX Super Refresh technology for faster and smoother screen operation, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The Tab X C is made in a durable and lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy case. There are two types of cases available for this model: a regular magnetic case and a case with a keyboard and trackpad.
All three readers are equipped with modern features: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microphone, speakers and USB Type-C with OTG support. They run on Android 13 and support the installation of apps via Google Play. The new readers can read text aloud (Text-To-Speech), play audiobooks and music, and support a variety of text and image formats.
Special attention is paid to image quality: thanks to the SNOW Field function, the devices update the screen more accurately and cleaner. Built-in screen position sensor (G-sensor) automatically switches portrait or landscape orientation depending on the device position.
The new models will be available in May-June 2025.
