NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Saturday, April 26.
Strands is a brand new daily puzzle introduced by the New York Times. It offers a more challenging spin on the classic word search, requiring a sharp eye to complete it. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes pose challenges. There’s no shame in seeking a bit of assistance now and then. If you're finding it difficult and need the answers for today's Strands puzzle, refer to the solved puzzle provided below.
How to play Strands
In Strands, your objective is to discover the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping them to form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm your choice. If you've created a correct word, the letters will turn blue and become unselectable.
If you come across a word that isn’t a theme word, it can still be beneficial! For every three non-theme words, each containing at least four letters, you’ll receive a hint — one letter from a theme word will be shown, and you'll need to unscramble it.
All letters in the grid are utilized to spell the theme words without any overlap. Each letter will be used once, and only once.
Each puzzle also features one “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) that represents the puzzle’s theme and spans two opposite sides of the board. When you identify the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to solve the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.
