The upcoming Battle Pass for Fortnite is themed around Star Wars and is fittingly titled Galactic Battle, set to launch in less than two weeks on May 2. This season will introduce Darth Jar Jar, so prepare for plenty of “mesa winner” jokes shortly. The announcement was made during Star Wars Celebration, revealing many details about potential new features, including the addition of Force Lightning as an in-game capability.

In addition to Death Jar Jar, players will also be able to unlock other skins, such as Emperor Palpatine, through the Battle Pass. Moreover, there will be mashups with existing Fortnite characters like the Wookie Cuddle Team Leader (who wouldn’t want to cuddle a Wookie?). Players will be able to buy a Mace Windu skin in the Item Shop and will also gain access to new vehicles like the TIE Fighter and X-Wing.

Expect to see numerous Lightsabers on the battlefield and Star Wars-themed locations on the map.

If you're a fan of Fortnite and a huge Star Wars enthusiast, this season appears to be unmissable. Each week will feature a different theme, starting on May 2, including Imperial Takeover, The Pull of the Force, Mandalorian Rising, Star Destroyer Bombardment, and Death Star Sabotage — covering various aspects of Star Wars lore. While specific details are still under wraps, there may also be skins from the Knights of the Old Republic era.

According to the announcement, “The five-part saga will culminate in an in-game narrative live event, making players feel as if they are holding the fate of the entire galaxy in their hands.”

This is just a small part of a vast array of Star Wars news unveiled at Star Wars Celebration, which also includes the announcement of Star Wars Zero Company, Andor season 2, and more.
