      THE LIFE OF CHUCK - Official Trailer - In Theaters June

      Tom Hiddleston portrays Charles “Chuck” Krantz in the trailer for The Life of Chuck, a sci-fi drama by Mike Flanagan inspired by Stephen King’s 2020 novella.

      “If you possess heart, you possess hope,” says Mark Hamill’s character, Albie Krantz, in the trailer. The Life of Chuck narrates the story of Chuck Krantz, a regular man with an extraordinary tale. Chuck’s life is divided into three acts and presented in reverse chronological order, commencing with his adulthood and retracing back to his childhood. Hiddleston plays the adult version of Chuck, while Jacob Tremblay, Benjamin Pajak, and Cody Flanagan portray his younger selves.

      Throughout his journey, Chuck will encounter "the marvel of love, the anguish of loss, and the complexities that dwell within us all."

      Hamill and Mia Sara star as Chuck’s grandparents, Albie and Sarah Krantz. Additional cast members include Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Annalise Basso, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Heather Langenkamp, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, and Kate Siegel.

      Flanagan takes on the roles of writer, producer, editor, and director for The Life of Chuck. Trevor Macy, Flanagan's partner at Intrepid Pictures, also serves as a producer. This film adapts King’s short story published in the 2020 collection If It Bleeds.

      Flanagan has previously adapted several of King’s works for film, such as Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep. Additionally, he is in the process of developing The Dark Tower and Carrie as series for Amazon MGM Studios, with Carrie officially greenlit earlier this month.

      The Life of Chuck premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival in early September, winning the festival's top honor, the People’s Choice Award. Later that month, Neon secured distribution rights for North America.

      The Life of Chuck will debut in select cities on June 6 before its nationwide release on June 13.

      According to Deadline, Fairy Tale will now be developed into a 10-episode series at A24. Greengrass is anticipated to remain involved as he collaborates with J.H. Wyman, who will act as the showrunner. Wyman is known for his work on Almost Human and Fringe. Greengrass, Wyman, and King will serve as executive producers alongside Peter Rice, the former president of 21st Century Fox. Rice's future producing credits include Saturday Night, 28 Years Later, and Warfare.
