Sean Baker's romantic dramedy features Mikey Madison as Ani, a Brooklyn sex worker who marries the son of a Russian oligarch. The first half feels like a fever dream, while the second half turns into a nightmare. Anora is a deserving Best Picture winner and is now set to appeal to viewers at home.
Anora is likely to capture a substantial audience. At the same time, there is an extensive range of lesser-known films ready to be streamed with just a click. March's selection of underrated films includes a rom-com by a well-known author, an energizing dance movie, and an enticing thriller.

Ronnie is dismayed to find out that she and her younger brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman) must spend the summer with their estranged father, Steve (Greg Kinnear), in a small beach town in Georgia. Initially displeased, Ronnie’s perspective shifts after she meets Will (Liam Hemsworth), leading to an improved relationship with her father. It's hard to beat the chemistry between co-stars who actually fall in love during filming.

Step Up 2: The Streets (2008)

For fans of the Step Up franchise, while the original Step Up boasts a better love story with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan falling in love during filming, the dance sequences in Step Up 2: The Streets are significantly superior to its predecessor. The sequel follows a familiar storyline where a rebellious dancer must adjust to the professional environment of a prestigious school.
The lead in Step Up 2 is Andie (Briana Evigan), a Baltimore teen with dreams of becoming a street dancer. After going down a troubled path, she is urged by Tyler Gage (Tatum) to enroll at the Maryland School of the Arts. Andie feels out of place until the popular Chase (Robert Hoffman) persuades her to form a new crew and compete in an underground dance battle known as The Streets. It's debatable whether the rain-soaked final dance scene marks Jon M. Chu’s finest directorial moment.

Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)

A year after Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts portrayed a troubled housewife in Sleeping with the Enemy. On the surface, Laura Burney (Roberts) seems to enjoy a perfect life with her seemingly ideal husband, Martin (Patrick Bergin). However, behind closed doors, Martin is an abusive tyrant. Desperate for escape, Laura fakes her own death during a storm and flees to Iowa.
In the Midwest, Laura adopts a new identity and starts fresh as Ben Woodward (Kevin Anderson). Life nearly returns to perfection until Martin discovers she is alive and attempts to reclaim her. Sleeping with the Enemy falls under the category of “garbage thriller.” While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, the soap opera-like plot makes for an entertaining guilty pleasure.
