Season 3 of Rings of Power welcomes Stranger Things actor Jamie Campbell Bower to its cast.
Prime Video has announced that Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan will join the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for season 3. Bower will be a series regular, while Marsan is set for a recurring role. Pre-production for season 3 is currently underway, with filming scheduled to commence this spring at Shepperton Studios in the U.K.
Bower is widely recognized for his role as Henry Creel/Vecna in the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things. He made his debut in season 4 and will reprise his menacing character in the upcoming fifth and final season, set to be released in 2025. Marsan recently appeared in two musical biopics in 2024: Back to Black and Midas Man, and he will soon star in the British drama series Lockerbie, which focuses on the 1988 Pan Am Flight bombing over Scotland, one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in UK history.
Season 3 jumps ahead several years from the events of Season 2, taking place at the peak of the War of the Elves and Sauron. During this time, the Dark Lord aims to create the One Ring that will provide him with the advantage necessary to win the war and dominate Middle-earth.
Earlier this month, Prime Video officially renewed The Rings of Power for a third season, which will depict the climax of the ongoing conflict. The official synopsis states that "Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last."
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, and the acclaimed series has gathered over 170 million viewers globally. The first two seasons are available for streaming on Prime Video.

Stranger Things has wrapped up production for its fifth and final season. Netflix has announced the completion of filming for season 5. A message on the show's X account stated, "That's a wrap on Stranger Things," along with a note to expect the series in 2025. Fans are eagerly awaiting every detail about the fifth season following one of the show's most dramatic cliffhangers. With Vecna having opened a significant gateway to the Upside Down, viewers are expecting a monumental final showdown between Hawkins' heroes and the malevolent psychic along with his horde of monsters.
At this time, details about the impending conclusion remain sparse, and it is likely to be a while before fans are able to view the final episodes. In the meantime, all known information and expectations for Stranger Things 5 have been compiled.
