The creator of 'Peaky Blinders' has expressed his anticipation that certain sections of the Rey 'Star Wars' script will be included in the final version.

      In a franchise as complex as Star Wars, it's not surprising that many projects within this universe go through several writers. Initially, when a spin-off film centered on Daisy Ridley's Rey was announced, Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson were assigned as the screenwriters. They departed from the project in March 2023, and following them, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was brought on board. Knight exited the project in October 2024, but prior to his departure, he shared his thoughts with The Telegraph regarding the film and his experience working within the vast Star Wars universe.

      “There’s a system in place, and when you participate, you understand how it operates. You contribute your part, delivering your draft or drafts, as I did, and then the process continues. I genuinely anticipate that significant portions of what I created will make it into the film – but who knows? That’s my expectation,” he stated.

      Following Knight's exit, George Nolfi was introduced as the next writer, and details about what each writer has contributed to the film remain limited. It’s common for large-scale films to engage multiple writers, but when the roster of writers becomes too fluid, it often indicates the project might not be progressing smoothly. Recently, Star Wars has announced and subsequently canceled several potential film projects, so hopefully, this Rey venture won't end up in that unfortunate category.
