Motorola's flagship clamshell-style foldable, the Moto Razr Plus, is expected to receive a long-awaited upgrade in 2025. Recent rumors suggest that this new model could feature a high-end Qualcomm chipset, unlike its earlier versions, which fell short of being premium.
A recent listing on the CPU benchmarking site Geekbench (via PhoneArena) has surfaced for a device named “Motorola Razr Ultra,” showcasing impressive CPU specifications. This includes an octa-core CPU configuration with two cores operating at 4.32GHz and six cores at 3.53GHz.
These specifications align with Qualcomm’s latest and most potent chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the listing indicates that there will be at least one variant with 12GB of RAM.
Previous versions of the Motorola Razr Plus are labeled with an “Ultra” suffix in markets outside the U.S. to signify their top-tier status, which clarifies the atypical naming observed in the Geekbench entry. If Motorola maintains the same naming convention for its flip phones as last year, the Razr Plus (2025) is likely to be called the Razr 60 Ultra in Europe, Asia, and other regions where the device is sold.
Regarding its launch, a recent certification from India’s regulatory body suggests that the Razr Plus may debut earlier than its typical June release. However, the exact launch date remains unknown. Meanwhile, details on further specifications of the Razr Plus are scarce due to a lack of leaks.
Since its comeback in 2019, the Motorola Razr has established a significant presence in the flip-style foldable phone market. With its iconic background and enticing features, Motorola competes with Samsung—another leader in the flip phone sector—through competitive pricing. However, one area where Motorola has compromised is in its chipset selections, frequently opting for options that are not flagship-level. For instance, the Razr Plus 2024 was equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a mid-tier chipset from Qualcomm, rather than the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. If the latest rumors hold true, the Razr Plus may finally pose a serious challenge to the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

OnePlus 13 confirmed to receive a mix of camera upgrades
OnePlus has been gradually revealing information as it prepares for the launch of its next flagship phone later this month. The latest teaser provides insights into the OnePlus 13’s camera hardware, which appears to include a combination of minor upgrades and a slight reduction.
The primary camera will feature Sony’s LYT-808 sensor, the same 50MP 1/1.4-inch format sensor seen in the OnePlus 12. This time, OnePlus plans to extend 4K Dolby Vision capture support to all cameras, instead of limiting it to just the main one.
