Instagram has finally enabled users to rearrange their profile grid in any desired order.

You can now rearrange your posts anywhere on your Instagram profile grid.

Instagram users have been requesting this feature for years, and it has finally arrived. Instagram is now implementing the ability to rearrange the grid, allowing users to move posts around their profiles as they wish.

Previously, posts on the grid were displayed in chronological order, with the option to pin up to three posts at the top. Instagram announced this feature on X, and it is available exclusively on the mobile app, applicable to both smartphones and tablets.

How can you rearrange posts on your Instagram profile grid?

Simply press and hold any post on your profile until a menu appears, then select "Reorder grid." You can then drag and drop your posts to create your desired arrangement. Changes are saved automatically, and there's an undo button available during each editing session.

There’s no limitation on how often you can rearrange your posts, allowing you to refine your profile until it is perfect. Your pinned posts and reels will remain at the top of your profile and won't be affected by the rearranging.

      Why is this important?

The grid reordering function is valuable for highlighting new life stages, bringing older content to the forefront, refreshing your overall aesthetic, or showcasing specific projects. This means you can display a post from 2015 right next to something you posted yesterday if you choose.

Grid Reordering is just one of several recent updates to enhance user experience on Instagram. You can now edit a comment after posting, though you have only a 15-minute window to do so. Additionally, Instagram Stories received a long-awaited update, allowing users to fix mistakes after posting instead of having to delete and start over.

Netflix indicates there is no future for theatrical releases within its streaming ecosystem.

Though Netflix might consider releasing Greta Gerwig’s forthcoming Narnia movie in theaters, the company has clarified that this does not represent a significant shift in its approach. In a straightforward interview with The New York Times, Netflix film chairman Dan Lin emphasized that the platform's relationship with theaters remains largely consistent. Although Gerwig’s Narnia is slated for a full theatrical release prior to its appearance on Netflix, Lin noted that this is more of an exception than a new strategy. He also implied that Netflix is not inclined to accommodate filmmakers who continue to favor traditional theatrical releases.

Snap sent notifications to students during class hours despite being aware of the distraction risks.

Internal documents reviewed by The New York Times from lawsuits involving over 1,400 school districts against Meta, Snap, TikTok, and YouTube reveal how these companies intentionally targeted students, even while their safety teams expressed concerns regarding the potential harm. The documents present a troubling narrative. Snapchat sent alerts to teenagers during school hours, encouraging them to share what was happening in their classrooms. A Snapchat strategy document reportedly referred to classroom phone usage as "under the desk" time.
